More about the location

Nestling on the southern edge of Coventry in a highly regarded residential area, it offers easy access to the rejuvenated city centre, rolling Warwickshire countryside and the extensive Midlands motorway network. See - you can have your cake and eat it in today's competitive property market!

Coventry is a swithed-on city in every sense of the word, blessed with the latest bars, clubs and restaurants and an award winning 3-storey shopping centre!

It's a real cultural hotspot too, offering three theatres, two cathedrals, art galleries and museums, plus the finest medieval Guildhall in England.

Synonymous with the motor industry, it's also the birthplace of St George, patron saint of England, poet laureate Philip Larkin and Lady Godiva. Don't wait to be sent to Coventry!

Coventry was a scattered settlement until Leofric (Earl of Mercia) and his wife Lady Godiva founded a church there in 1043. It quickly became (and remained) one of the most powerful cities in England, with a reputation during the 20th century as an industrial powerhouse - despite being the most bombed city in Britain during World War II.

Now, it's re-inventing itself and is recognised as a symbol of international peace and reconciliation, offering a whole host of historic buildings and artifacts right in the city centre. Indeed, Coventry is four years into a £4 billion capital investment programme.

The City also boasts two major universities and Warwick Arts Centre in Coventry is the largest in Midlands, attracting around 300,000 visitors a year to over 2,000 individual events embracing music, drama, dance, comedy, literature, films and visual art.

Coventry also has a wealth of open spaces available for public use, including 2,400 acres of parks and 438 acres of woodland. The new, modern Priory Gardens and the Garden of International Friendship are worth a visit, while the popular Memorial Park has recently added a Splash 'n' Play waterpark. Little wonder the area is a golfing haven as well.

All this and more are approximately less than 1,5 miles from The Avenue. Whitley Common with its rare wildflower species is right on the doorstep too, as are the highly regarded Whitley Abbey schools and a luxury health spa facility.

The new Coventry Airport at neighbouring Baginton is also very handy and offers discount flights to many of Europe's favourite destinations, while this area is also home to the fascinating Midland Air Museum and Lunt Roman Fort dating back to 64AD.

This part of Warwickshire is traditionally known as the crossroads of central England, so the M1/M6/M45/M69 motorway network and the main A45 are very accessible.

And aside from the city itself and nearby Rugby, that means easy access to attractions at Stratford-upon-Avon, Leamington Spa and Stamford Hall, historic castles at Warwick and Kenilworth, plus the restored beauty of Althorp House - home to Diana the late Princess of Wales.

Regular inter city and cross country rail services operate from Coventry station too, with journey times to London approximately 80min. and Birmingham just half an hour away.
